Jordan School District has 62 refugees and 740 newcomers. There are 4,778 English Language Learners. Students represent over 63 different languages. Your ML students come with assets to your classroom. Celebrate all that they bring!

  • ELLevation: Find activities that support your content and students with premade graphic organizers and step-by-step instructions. Materials in other languages are available in each strategy.
  • Visual Lunch Choices: Available in two formats: Large (8.5 x 11) or 4 to a page. Images of school lunch choices made in collaboration with Kindergarten Literacy Specialists, Laurie Murdock (Instructional Coach, Falcon Ridge), and Terilyn Moffett (Lunch Manager, Falcon Ridge).
  • Labels/Flashcards in Spanish: Created by our Language Teacher Specialists. There are many ready to view and use, but will continue to be updated.
  • Canva Magic Switch: Can translate text on designs into multiple languages.
  • Getepic.com and Sora: Online novels K-7 in English and other languages (mostly Spanish). Hi/Lo books:
