DTL Spotlight

For years, the conversation around Digital Access has focused on one thing: getting a device into every student’s hand. But true access isn’t just about a screen—it’s about whether a student can actually understand what is on that screen.

In this video, we explore how the SchoolAI Chrome Extension is changing the game. This browser tool brings AI assistance directly into our daily workflows, allowing educators to take any website, video, or document and instantly adapt it for students’ specific needs.

With this tool, we aren’t just giving students a link; we’re giving them a pathway to comprehension. Check out the following video.

Our district is finalizing updates to all web content and mobile apps to meet the April 24, 2026, federal deadline for ADA digital accessibility. We are committed to ensuring that every student and family can independently access our online resources, from school websites to district documents. By meeting these WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, we hope to make our digital community just as inclusive as our physical schools.

Editing an item or assessment in Mastery

Editing an assessment or an assessment item in Mastery is often desired for a particular outcome, but not as easy as you would like. But there is a reason. Mastery Connect prevents you from editing assessment questions after they have been given to ensure data integrity and fairness.

  • Accuracy of Results: If you change a question, the scores already recorded would no longer accurately reflect how students performed on the original version of that question.
  • Fairness: Allowing changes mid-stream could give an unfair advantage to students who take the assessment later compared to those who already completed it.

Once an assessment is "live" or finished, the system locks the content to maintain a reliable and consistent record of student progress. If you need to fix an error, the standard process is to either exclude the problematic question from the score or create a new version of the assessment.
